 Garden update for July 27.  Onions are ready for harvest.

 Bought a new 80 gallon Lifetime composter.  My old one rusted out and collapsed off the stand.  The good news is that all of the compost in the old one was great for preparing the soil in the new flower garden addition pictured below

Connected the flower garden to the retaining wall to make mowing easier.  I plan to line the outside with the same hosta along the wall and fill in the rest of it with some other things which we haven't decided on yet.

July 2015 Update

 6 peppers, 4 bell, 1 jalapeno, 1 habanero

 3 tomatoes and 1 grape tomato plant.  I've only had 3 grape tomatoes thus far

 Sod removal to join flower garden and retaining wall.  Will be filling in this area with hosta, lillies and mulch to make mowing easier

 Removed knockout roses because only 2 came back from winter.  I divided some hosta from the back and planted them where the roses were

Planted the veggie garden on 5/13 this year.  Onions were planted around 3 weeks ago

Replanted the strawberry garden and fenced it due to rabbits destroying it last year

Garden update 6/23

 My peppers are doing pretty good.  The 3rd one from the right keeps getting blown over in the storms, so I propped it up with a brick to help it grow straight again.

As you can see the two tomatoes on the right were clearly stunted by the late freeze in May. 

Planted tomatoes on 5/12 and the rest (2 green peppers, 1 yellow bell pepper and 1 red bell pepper, japanenos, habaneros, zucchini cucumbers) on 5/17

Garden update 9/10/2013

 Full garden view.  Two zucchini remain.  We get around 5 zucchini per week.  Tomatoes are still producing quite a bit.  Bell peppers are doing good, jalapenos are slowing down, but habaneros are producing a lot of peppers

 This year we had a lot of musk melon growing from composted seeds that didn't burn up.  the pill bugs ate up most of them but the ones we could salvage were very good
